Christopher Maxwell
Christopher Maxwell was introduced to D&D and RPGs during his time training as an actor. It was here where he also met Jamie. After his first campaign, Chris wanted to keep playing and learning more about role-playing games.
As an actor, Chris always wanted to find a way to combine his training into his role-playing games.
During the 2020 pandemic, Chris, Jamie, Jake & Hannah began a campaign that would continue until 2024. It was after our final session (our first in-person session) that it was decided we'd keep playing and form 30 Something DnD.
Hannah Celyn
Hannah finally rolled her first D&D character during the 2020 lockdown, joining friends Jake and Chris at the virtual table and meeting Jamie for the first time. Unable to bake banana bread or cross-stitch, she figured rolling dice was a safer bet.
Since then, she’s survived multiple campaigns and one-shots, making as many rude jokes as humanly possible along the way. A lover of video games, worldbuilding, and character creation, D&D was basically inevitable.
With some very amateur acting experience and absolutely no professional training, Hannah is excited to make 10,000 mistakes in a recording for all to hear. Oh, and cause a little bit of chaos as she goes.
Jake Francis
Jake is a weirdo in a costume. He spends his time flitting between obsessions such as cooking and baking (often and purposely by mistake), gaming, going way too deep into lore for the DnD campaign he's running, cats, and gardening. He has the homeliness of a hobbit and the weirdness and habits of a housecat.
Jake is a scientist/software developer by trade but ultimately he just wants the mental stimulation. Tell him facts. Tell him about your obsessions. Tell him about obscure bits of knowledge. It's all good to him.
Jamie Trotter
Jamie has been running Dungeons & Dragons games for years and after finishing a long campaign with the rest of the cast, realised that they were among ‘their people’ and wanted to keep going. And so the world this podcast is set in was born.
Jamie paints tabletop miniatures for a living and is constantly surrounded by all things great and geeky. Diving into fantasy worlds is merely a casual side-step from their day-to-day life.
